   Registered Member #2 Posts: 78 | Hi all, P-Spec are rolling on from the success that was P-Spec Lan 1 (29hour) with P-Spec LAN 2 - the usual BYOC deal - but LONGER! This time, we're pushing the boundaries... Doors open 6pm Friday 1st August, and close 6pm Sunday 3rd August. So, let's recap. P-SpecGaming Dates: 1st / -3rd August Time: 6pm on the 1st to 6pm on the 3rd Location: MOD St Athan, Community Centre, West Camp, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 4WA Cost: £25 - or *** £23 *** if you pre-pay before the end of July 1 day pass £18 (prepay £23, get £5 back on entry) -Room hire/electricity -bottle of Coke or energy drink on entry -raffle ticket on entry -Unlimited tea and coffee (mmm... coffeeee) -Unlimited toast (jam or peanut butter - which side are you?) -Hot Breakfast on the sunday morning (plus unlimited cereals) Games: COD4, CSS, C&C 3, BF2, Trackmania, Supreme Commander and more More info will be available soon... | Delta9 Registered Member #1 Posts: 228 | that motherboard would be £30 and yeah thats a AM" skt for the Athlon x2 and above. i dont have a spare athlon x2 but i do have a 64bit sempron 1.8Ghz cpu that would fit in that mobo and would run ok untill you got hold of a X2. i would sell that CPU @ £15 so chris124 wants a place booked at the lan? | ||

| P-SpecGaming Veteran Registered Member #13 Posts: 56 | yes please all i need now is a hdd and a os so it should be ok also the mobo im going to use my duo orb i won but as my mums using it im going to need the am2 braket to put on her pc so if i could have it before the lan to sort that out that would be a great help also ill see if i can sneakily steal her x2 while changing it hehehe and put the sempron in. also can we arrange something out with the dosh delta? as i wont have it all at once could i pick it up and pay you at the lan so he could get some practice? and that way if im missing a component i can msg you before the lan instgead of himm being desertged there with a not working pc for 3 days. thanks [ Edited Fri Jul 04 2008, 09:05PM ] =) | ||

you can use any rad you want as long as your can get fittings for it, and being able to mount a fan to it would be handy so you mingt need to get brackets

if you are happy with your current temps i wouldnt bother, and if you want to upgrade to 1/2" i would consider a high flow waterblock too
