P-SpecGaming Veteran![]() Registered Member #13 Posts: 56 | this christmas (as it is rather close now and the christmas adverts are on the TV) im planning to go into the water cooled crew. Im planning to water cool my (soon to be) ultras this will be the first water cooling setup iv ever done and would like to know if all the parts are compatible. http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=697 http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27_78&products_id=427 two of these =P http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27_28&products_id=747 http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=38_89&products_id=134 http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37_73&products_id=466 http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_53&products_id=165 i would like to use 1/2 tubing as its 2 ultra's and they run hot. so would some one be able to check my list and see if everything is ok? and whether i have to buy separate barbs? i dont know so some help will be appreciated =)

Also i would say to get the fittings and some hose clips http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_53&products_id=927 http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=61 ![]()

P-SpecGaming Veteran![]() Registered Member #13 Posts: 56 | thatnks.. could you recomend me a better pump for that kind or setup? i have a very small case and a res+ump solution would save space. also the fitting system is very confusing, no wonder water cooling isnt that poplar hopefully the 360mm rad will fit in the case and allow enough room for the pci-e power connetors and the cooling fittings etc also insted of a triiple rad i might just have a dual and snigle but the loop going pump -> cpu -> 120mm rad -> gfx cards -> dual 120mm rad =S then if i get a new case it will work better especially with this http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=88&products_id=1167 [ Edited Sun Nov 02 2008, 06:18AM ] =)

P-SpecGaming Veteran![]() Registered Member #13 Posts: 56 | lol thanks. why the 1200? do you want to be the only one with that nice case? and how do i make clickable links on this site ? anyway ill have to get a bigger case if im to get that pump. damn my small case!!! need one with lots of space for 120mm fans. http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=88&products_id=1168 or the 1200 but water cooling stuff and the new mobo and gfx card are pretty expensive. the case linked above may be the only case ill be able to afford with ample cooling and space for radiators. even if they are just single ones and a double one on the roof. and grumpy gremlin said if i got a 1200 hed kick in my teeth so........ Image: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j161/fatman121/watercooling.jpg i feel so nerdy =P [ Edited Mon Nov 03 2008, 07:55PM ] =)

Delta9![]() ![]() Registered Member #1 Posts: 228 | i had a good look at a 1200 the other day. as in i had my head in the case there is potential for alot of rads in there. anyway. the cm dominator is a noce case some of the cheapers Lian LI and silverstone cases are worth a look at. anyway quick tip for the waterloop. put a rad b4after the pump and b4 the cpu block will take out any heat dumped by the pump ![]()

Delta9![]() ![]() Registered Member #1 Posts: 228 | pumps dont generate a huge amount of heat but what they do generate is dumped in to the loop. i personaly dont have a rad b4 my cpu block as i didnt have enought room to to mount one between the pump and cpu block. i could have just made the loop longer to do it but then there is always pressure drop effecting it ![]()

P-SpecGaming Veteran![]() Registered Member #13 Posts: 56 | gunna give up on mobo cooling. a south bridge block would stop a graphics card from going in unless i got the strange fittings but still costs a lot and cant be f***ed lol [ Edited Wed Nov 05 2008, 10:43PM ] =)

Delta9![]() ![]() Registered Member #1 Posts: 228 | daul 120mm rad can be mounted to the 200mm fan on the top will a tiny bit of modding, depending on how many hdd's you have the hdd caddies on the front of the case can be replaced with either a daul 120mm rad or a triple 120mm rad (depending on the amount of drives you have. and they are really nicley built too ![]()

i will make one in school(a Bracket), but this project keeps getting put on hold due to me having to buy bits for my bike >.>
Delta9 21 Jun : 16:21
you can use any rad you want as long as your can get fittings for it, and being able to mount a fan to it would be handy so you mingt need to get brackets

if you are happy with your current temps i wouldnt bother, and if you want to upgrade to 1/2" i would consider a high flow waterblock too
jcb121 06 Jun : 21:37
@delta9, it would cost £20 to change my WC setup from 3/8" to 1/2" ID,
would it be worth it?
